Cast Fragments is an experiment about remixing the semantic cues embodied within "known" products. I gathered a handful of banal consumer objects and created a series of plaster casts. Then, I purposefully blurred the line between mold and object by casting and recasting fragments of the originals. In experiments like these, playful and unpredictable processes allow us to excavate, reassemble, and reinterpret the history of material culture.
